e f I pl: . ' A I , s 55 ' io-X U Welcome This report is brought to you live from Medina High School. Everyone from lVI.H.S. has turned out for this re- markable event. Never before has anything like this happened in hfedina, in the United States, or in the world. History is in the making. From the outer realms of our vast universe comes Mr. Blrrp, a visiting dignitary from a foreign planet. Because our laudable reputation has reached the far corners of the uni- verse, hir. Blrrp is coming here as an ambassador to observe and study life at hledina High School, the typical American high school. President Eisenhower has campaigned interna- tional understanding and friendship by means of his Euro- pean, Asiatic, and South American visits and is now engaged in Russia to promote the same program. Khrushchev, while on his visit to the United States, was made aware of the Amer- ican way of life. As host to the first spaceman on American soil, we at hledina High School now hope to do our part to create friendship and understanding on a universal basis. I know you will be the perfect hosts and hostesses. If Mr. Blrrp is displeased, he will probably have the spacemen's union throw us right out of orbit. Among the group waiting to welcome our prominent guest Q -1- lf - 7-7. fa ,- .H are administrators, other school officials, and faculty mem- I I bers. All the students have assembled, also, and are antic- 1 , 'I ipating the thrills of the momentous arrival. The seniors have Q paused from their last hours of glory to be with us, and the ' i 4 freshmen, sophomores and juniors are, for this occasion, f A v cheering with the seniors rather than competing against them. - 1 , ' 1 Wait! A lull has come over the crowd. All eyes are up- -1 , KP lifted. A regular series of reflections illuminates the sky. Yes, 1 Q ladies and gentlemen, our guest is arriving. As his rotating AJ ,f 5 jg. metallic saucer comes into view, one can feel the excitement MJ - Y' and curiosity of the crowd. Before he lands, let me remind ,F you it is our purpose to show him the organization and func- tg tions of hledina High School, but, most important, he is here i - i' to meet you, the students. Through this yearbook, we hope E 1.-v to accomplish this as we review the year 1959-60. .1 7 A? X 1 I--' ' i 34' fp-5-illiwivw I' if L L X .4 1' K , iN 1 - -e xx Q I' .fb i ' 3 .
