' 4 § Mr. Puehler, Medina’s John Philip Sousa Humanities is a relatively new classification at MHS and one of the most popular. It involves the fine arts, the physical arts, and the practical arts. The fine arts and physical arts give students the opportunity to use their creativity and do some- thing for themselves as well as others. The special education groups prepare those people for responsibility in life as well as for future creativity. “Can I stop smiling now,” asks Mrs. Rasmussen. Vocational and Business Seated: Mrs. Ettling, Mrs. Jividen, Mrs. Toth, Mrs. Oates. Standing: Mr. Holdener, Mr. O’Connor, Mr. Phillips, Mr. Calich, Mr. Calich, Mr. Weygandt, Mr. Hathaway. Absent: Mrs. Schafer The vocational and business departments are the most practical in the school. They give ample background to those students who wish to work im- mediately after high school and who do not plan to go to college. The addition of a freshman work pro- gram gives an early start for those who need it. Mr. Wells seems a bit startled by our camera. Mrs. Oates seems to be saying “Get out of my kitchen.”
