It is only too clear that this school, any school, cannot survive without help from a group of people who must also withstand a great deal of abuse from the cynically-minded of the school community. They are the bridge between calm and chaos. Medina is fortunate in that it has an administra- tion and faculty who are attentive to the current problems and who make no pretense to infalli- bility. There is none of the “ivory tower” attitude that other schools might have to suffer with. It tries to relate to the problems brought before it and, if not in agreement, will at least give con- structive reasons for the decisions made. Another group of people does its work quietly and diligently. It is this group, the workers in the cafeteria, the janitors, and counselors, which keeps any school moving, in the most physical sense of the word. They feed us, clean up, try to solve our problems, and often go unthanked by the ungrateful. We owe them a great deal of cred- it. Maybe someday they will receive it.
