Industrial Arts Department The industrial arts department is one of the most diversified in the school. It offers a variety of courses ranging from the basic to the very technical. Print- ing, drawing, electricity, wood, and - metals — courses in all these media are offered to the mechanically-minded person. Upper left: Mr. Barbor helps a student in shop class. The vocational department is one of the fastest growing departments at MHS, both in size and importance. The newest program is OWE (Occupational Work Experience) which joins the al- ready established programs of DE, DCT, COE, and Work Study. These programs benefit the student who does not plan to attend college bv giving him salable skills to offer the business or in- dustrial world after graduation. Closelv connected with the vocation- al department is the business depart- ment. COE was joined this year bv BOE (Business Office Education), an intensive business program for juniors.
