» 1 FOREWORD Medina Senior High School offers its sudents unlimited opportunities in order that they may grow in many ways during their four years here. There are opportunities for self-expression through music, drama, and art; intellectual stimulation by way of research for advanced courses; learning by teaching others in the tu- torial program; or, acquiring marketable skills through the vocational programs. MHS also provides unlimited opportunities for appreciation of the simple things such as hearing a sparkling laugh, a whisper in study hall, a squeal in biology, or a melodious chord from the music wing; seeing a freshman on his first day, tears as the scoreboard declares de- feat, a couple holding hands, a coach s side- lines frustrations, or, seniors making that last trek down the halls; doing homework on time, building a float, decorating for the prom, typ- ing a friend ' s term paper; or, just being a part of the school by standing in clustered groups, cheering at ball games, dancing at canteens, canvassing for scholarship funds, or carting in canned food for the annual Christmas canned food drive. Yes, there are opportunities— for those who wish to seize theme— opportunities that will prepare the student to enter the adult world at graduation time.
