KAREN REICH Karen Reich, a girl of quiet nature, has participated in both FHA and Girls ' FFA all three years of senior high school. As a junior, Karen was elected to the office of secretary in FFA. In her senior year she was promoted to president of Girls ' FFA. Thus, as a presi- dent of a school club, Karen automatically became a member of Student Council. PENNY RICKARD Penny Rickard, a quiet-yet-eff icient girl, has been a member of FTA all three years of senior high school. She also joined Spanish and Girls ' Glee Club in her sophomore year. As a junior, Penny was promoted to a seat in Choir. In her final year of high school Penny joined both Pep Club and Y-Teens while also continuing to be in Choir. Her two main interests are horses and swimming. DAVE RING Dave Ring, our quiet-but-active athlete, has primarily devoted his spare time to school sports. After proving his ability to handle any shape ball, Dave was placed on the varsity football and baseball teams in his sophomore year and continued to be on these teams for the two remaining years of high school. He also made the reserve basketball team at MHS as a sophomore and varsity basketball in his final year. These early team achievements qualified him for mem- bership in Letterman ' s Club all three years. As a junior, Dave be- came the secretary of Letterman ' s Club, and as a senior, he became the president of this athletic association. Dave ' s talent in football was proven when he was awarded a trophy for the best defensive player on the varsity squad in his senior year. Another honor be- stowed on Dave was being on the merit roll in his junior year. JIM ROBERTS Jim Roberts, a boy who can really blow a mean harmonica, likes to go hunting and trapping. He has primarily taken part in Choir all three years of senior high school. 29

JACK PURDUM Jack Purdum, a very sports-minded person, is a regular ham when it comes to amateur radio. Jack was on the football and basket- ball teams continually for three seasons. In his junior year Jack earned membership in Letterman ' s Club and also made the golf team this same year. As a senior, he continued to play on the golf team. In his second year of high school, Jack ' s grades ranked high enough to qualify him for the merit roll. JILL PURDUM Jill Purdum, quite an energetic individual, was a reserve cheer- leader in her sophomore year. Acquiring a three-year membership in GAA, Y-Teens, and Dramatics Club, Jill was on the Girls ' Basket- ball Team in both her sophomore and junior years. In eleventh grade she joined Choir, Choralettes, and Thespians. As a senior, Jill played the bells in Marching and Concert Band. ANTHEA QUICK Anthea Quick, more commonly known to her friends as Andi, has continually been a member of Y-Teens throughout senior high school. As a sophomore, Andi participated in Marching and Con- cert Band and also Dramatics Club. In the eleventh grade she con- tinued to be in Dramatics but also became a member of GLC. Reaching her final year of high school, she renewed her membership in GLC while becoming active in CAA. Acquiring a high scholastic average in her junior year, Andi ' s name appeared on the merit roll. CAROL REED Carol Reed, a vivacious individual, was selected as one of the reserve cheerleaders in her sophomore year. She joined the ranks of the Musical Bees for a three-year hitch. In the eleventh grade Carol held the position of co-secretary of Band and in her senior year vice-president of Band. In her two remaining years of high school Carol took part in the activities of GLC. Through hard work Carol was able to be on the highly-prized honor roll in the tenth grade and on the merit roll in the eleventh. 28

CASSANDRA ROGERS Cassandra Rogers, better known as Cassie, moved here from Chardon, Ohio, in time to begin her junior year of high school at MHS. As a sophomore at Chardon, Cassie participated in both GAA and Dramatics. She continued to be in GAA in the eleventh grade and made an addition of Y-Teens. In her final year of high school Cassie renewed her membership in GAA and Y-Teens while also becoming a member of Pep Club. Cassie fills her leisure hours by either reading, swimming, or playing the piano. LINDA ROOT Linda Root, a girl with a pleasant smile for everyone, was placed on the merit roll in both her sophomore and junior years. Girls ' Glee Club and FTA drew Linda ' s interest in her sophomore year. Con- tinuing to be in FTA in the eleventh grade, Linda became a member of Choir and Choralettes. Her hobbies are horseback riding, cooking, and all types of sports. MARY JO SAUER Mary Jo Sauer has been quite active in various types of clubs during her three years of high school. Besides playing on the Girls ' Basketball Team in her sophomore year, Jo took part in GAA, FTA, and Dramatics Club. In the eleventh grade she added Y-Teens to these activities while also holding the offices of treasurer and chaplain of FTA and GAA respectively. In her last year at MHS Mary Jo renewed her membership in all four of these clubs besides adding Pep Club, CAA , and Thespians. LYNDA SCANLAN Lynda Scanlan, a Weymouthite, was on the publicity staff of the MEDINAMITE in her first year of senior high school. In tenth grade Lynda joined both GAA and Y-Teens. As a junior, she still took part in GAA and Y-Teens. However, in her final year of high school, Lynda was. active only in Y-Teens. Lynda ' s main interests lie in Lodi and hair-styling. 30
