PAM HURD Pam Hurd, one of our most active seniors, acquired a three-year membership in both FTA and Y-Teens. As a sophomore and junior, Pam was in Marching and Concert Band. In the eleventh grade she enjoyed the sporting activities of GAA which led to her renewing her membership in her senior year. In this final year of high school Pam took part in the newly-founded organization, Pep Club. Pam ' s name was placed on the merit roll in her sophomore year. RAY HUTCHINS Ray Hutchins started off his sophomore year by becoming a foot- ball manager. Earning a manager ' s letter this first year, he qual- ified as a member of Letterman ' s Club. In his junior year Ray put on a regular football uniform and became a football gridder. Given a position on the varsity foot ball squad in his final year of school, Ray ' s career in football ended successfully. MARSHA HYATT Marsha Hyatt, 1961 Queen Bee, has been a varsity cheerleader for the past two years. Besides participating in GAA and Y-Teens all three years, Marsha was a member of GLC in her junior and senior years of high school. As a sophomore, she was the class Student Council representative. In her senior year Marsha took part in Dramatics and Pep Club while holding the offices of GAA pres- ident, Y-Teen vice-president, GLC chaplain, and class Student Coun- cil representative. Even with all these time-consuming activities, Marsha maintained a B-average in her sophomore and junior years which entitled her to a place on the merit roll. JUDY INDOE ' Judy Indoe has been a member of both Concert and Marching Bands all three years. This last year she acquired the position of assistant line leader in Marching Band. Judy added quite a few activities in her senior year. She became a member of Choir, Chor- alettes, Dramatics and Pep Club. She also served as assistant ad- vertising editor on the MEDINIAN staff for 1961. 20

RALPH HOLT Ralph Holt, a most likable guy, has an outstanding record as a manager of the football, basketball, and baseball teams in his first year of senior high school. Remaining a manager of the football and basketball teams as a junior, Ralph became a member of the golf team, Math Club, and Letterman ' s Club. As a manager of basketball for the third straight year, Ralph was the football statis- tician, member of Math Club, Letterman ' s Club, and Senior Council, and on the baseball team. In the tenth grade he held a position on the merit roll. BONNIE HOOVER Bonnie Hoover, a cute-but-quiet lass, played the saxophone in Marching and Concert Band all three years. In her last two years of high school she became an active member of Y-Teens. As a sopho- more and junior, Bonnie earned a place on the merit roll for her academic accomplishments. Her hobbies vary from all types of music to baseball. ALICE HORTON Alice Horton joined FHA in her second year of high school. She renewed her membership in FHA in her senior year. In her spare time Alice enjoys dancing and skating while also adding to her collection of stuffed animals. STEVE HUNT Steve JHunt has been a regular guy-on-the-go during his high school career. As a sophomore, he participated in Dramatics and Spanish Club. In both his junior and senior years Steve ' s interest was drawn towards Hi-Y and CAA. In this latter club Steve acted as vice-chancellor as a junior and chancellor as a senior which entitled him to a seat in Student Council. In these two remaining years of high school Steve worked on the publication of the MEDIN- IAN. As a junior, he was a general assistant on the annual staff and the advertising editor in his senior year. Devoting time to his studies paid off when Steve ' s name appeared on the merit roll in both his sophomore and junior years. 19

Hjgggft VIC JARC Vic Jarc, one of this year ' s football co-captains, has dealt primarily in the field of sports during high school. As a sophomore, he played on the junior varsity football squad and track team which entitled him to membership in the Letterman ' s Club for the remain- der of school. In his second year Vic made the varsity football team and continued to be in track. Besides sports, Vic enjoys dabbling in art. KAY KASZIAN Kay Kaszian, a regular nut, has principally been interested in FHA throughout senior high school. Becoming a senior, Kay took on the responsibility of being the FHA secretary. She was rewarded for her academic achievements in her sophomore year by having her name listed on the highly-prized merit roll. Swimming, dancing, and ice skating are among the chief interests Kay enjoys. LEE KAUFMAN Lee Kaufman has been a three-year member of the Letterman ' s Club. He has continually been one of the basketball managers throughout senior high school. As a junior, Lee was a track manager. Finally, as a senior, he became a football trainer. Outside of school, Lee enjoys bowling and photography. TERRY KENNEDY Terry Kennedy has remarkably found the time to be a three-year member of Letterman ' s Club, Audio Club, Dramatics Club, and Choir. In his sophomore year Terry was an Medina ' s football team. As a junior, he was entitled to membership in Thespians for the remainder of his high school career. In his senior year Terry held the office of president in both Thespians and Audio Club. In this same year he sang first tenor in Choir ' s two new singing groups — Harmonaires and Counterpoints. 21
