KEN GREGORY Ken Gregory, a conservation bug, took part in Spanish Club as a sophomore. In this first year of high school he was selected to take a trip over the entire state of Ohio in order to study the various conservation projects. Besides his unusual hobby of lettering signs, Ken ' s main interest is centered around one special female. JUDY GROVE judy Grove, one of our energetic individuals in this year ' s senior class, has worked hard in the activities of FNA all three years of high school. In the eleventh grade Judy took part in GAA and Y- Teens while also working on the MEDINIAN staff as head typist. As a senior, she continued to be in Y-Teens and GAA but also be- came a member of Pep Club and Marching Band. In this last year of high school Judy was elected the president of FNA. Striving to maintain good grades earned Judy a position on the merit roll for her first two years in high school. Judy ' s three chief enjoyments are swimming, sewing, and listening to music. JOE HANUSCAK Joseph Hanuscak, called Joe for short, concentrated his interests in one club during his high school days at Medina. The club referred to is FFA in which he has enjoyed the fun and activities the club offers to every member. Outside of school, Joe deals in the hobby of mechanics and cars. TOM HANZLICEK Tom Hanzlicek, small in size but dynamic in spirit, has been chiefly interested in sports throughout high school. In his first year of senior high school, Tom played a position on the baseball team. As a junior, he continued to be on the baseball team. In his last year of high school Tom picked up a club, a golf club that is, and joined the golf team. Besides golf and baseball, Tom enjoys spending his leisure hours bowling. 16

ROBERTA GATES Roberta Gates, a gal with a lot on the ball, has played the sax in Marching and Concert Band throughout her three years of high school. As a sophomore, Bert took up the activities of Y-Teens and FTA. Besides holding the office of class secretary in her junior year, she joined the school dance band, Stardusters, and GLC. Re-elected to the same class office as a senior, Roberta continued to be in Stardusters and GLC as the club ' s vice-president. Having a high academic record as a sophomore and junior, Bert had her name placed on the honor roll. JERRY GERHART Jerry Gerhart has been swinging the ol ' golf club around for three years. Entitled to membership in Letterman ' s Club as a sopho- more, Jerry took part in this club ' s activities throughout high school. As a junior, he became a member of the football squad for which he received a varsity letter. JIM GERSPACHER Jim Gerspacher, the guy with the jokes, has continued to be primarily interested in sports all three years. First of all, Jim was on the baseball team as a sophomore. In the eleventh grade he went out for track. Finally, as a senior, Jim was on both the track and football teams. His three main interests are horses, coins, and girls. HELEN GOTTRON Helen Gottron, the girl with the voice full of song, was selected to be in Choir in her sophomore year. As a junior, Helen sang in Choralettes as well as Choir and also became a member of Audio Club. In her final year of high school she became the technical director of Audio Club, soprano leader of Choir, and a member of the new singing group, Counterpoints. Obtaining an outstanding academic record in both her sophomore and junior years, Helen was on the honor roll. 1

KEN HENKE Ken Henke seems to have found time in his schedule for all types of extra-curricular activities. In all three years of high school Ken has been on the track, wrestling, baseball, and cross-country teams. Therefore, he qualified for membership in Letterman ' s Club throughout senior high school. He beat the big bass drum in both Marching and Concert Bands besides singing in the Choir all three years. Even with all these activities Ken worked on the MEDINAMITE staff throughout his school career. As a senior, he was captain of the cross-country team while also in the same year co-captain of the wrestling and track teams and a bass leader in Choir. Having shown great ability on the cross-country team, Ken was awarded the trophy for the most outstanding cross-country runner for the last two years. GLENNA HENNING Glenna Henning, alias Bloody Mary, is the editor of this year ' s publication of the MEDINIAN. As a sophomore, Glenna participated in the activities of FTA. In the eleventh grade she continued to be in FTA while also joining GAA, CAA, Y-Teens, and the MEDINIAN staff as copy editor. As a senior, she was a member of FTA, GAA, CAA, Pep Club, Student Council, and Choir of which she was elected president of the Board of Directors. Furthermore, having maintained a high scholastic average, Glenna was on the much- coveted honor roll in both her sophomore and junior years. DAN HERRMANN Dan Herrmann has been attending Medina High School for the last one-and-a-half years. In the tenth grade at Highland he became one of the school ' s football gridders. In his senior year Dan found Medina ' s FFA group to his liking. DAVE HERRMANN Dave Herrmann transferred to Medina with his brother in the middle of his junior year. As a sophomore at Highland, he played on the football team and also joined the track team. He remained on the track team for part of the eleventh grade while attending Highland. In his final year of high school Dave became a member of our school ' s FFA group. 17
