LORRAINE CRAIG Lorraine Craig has been an active member of Y-Teens through- out her high school career. In her first year at MHS Lorraine took part in Spanish Club, Choir, and Concert Band as music librarian. As a junior, she played in Marching Band while continuing to be the music librarian of Concert Band. In her final year of high school Lorraine took up a new club, GAA. Her two chief hobbies are playing miniature golf and horseback riding. CHARLIE DAVIS Charlie Davis, our red-headed friend from Damascus, Virginia, played on the football team at Damascus High. Before coming to Medina, he attended Brunswick High School. Charlie ' s pastimes are divided between hunting and fishing. TIM DAVIS Tim Davis, a genius with a paintbrush in his hand, has had his finger in almost every type of activity our school offers. For three years he has been on the tennis team, in Letterman ' s Club, Math Club, and on the MEDINIAN staff, holding the position of art editor in his senior year. For the two remaining years of high school Tim made an addition of Hi-Y, CAA, and Student Council. As far as offices are concerned, Tim has had his share. He was the sophomore class president, junior class treasurer, and senior class president, besides being the treasurer of Letterman ' s Club, vice-president of Student Council, and co-captain of the wrestling team all in his senior year! Even with all the responsibilities that go along with holding these various offices, Tim maintained a high scholastic average which qualified him for the merit roll in his first two years JOHN DEISS John Deiss has been interested primarily in the academic activities of our school. In his sophomore year John ranked the highest on the biology section of the Preliminary State Scholarship Test and thus represented Medina in Wooster. In this same year his name appeared on the merit roll. Outside of school, John fills his spare time with either fishing or hunting. of senior high school. 11

ROBERT CHRISTY Robert Christy, a hot rod enthusiast, pursued the sport of wrest- ling during his sophomore and senior year. In his three years of high school, Bob was eligible to be in the Letterman ' s Club. ED CLAPP Ed Clapp, one of the remaining Chathamites still attending Medina, has been chiefly active in FFA. Besides signing up for a three-year membership in FFA, Ed held a three-year membership in the Letterman ' s Club. As a sophomore and junior, he was on the basketball team, and during his last year of high school he served as basketball manager. Acting as FFA news reporter in his junior year, Ed graduated to the position of president in his senior year. Since he held this title, he was a member of Student Council. JAN CLEMENT Jan Clement, a real gal-on-the-go, has been a member of Y-Teens all three years. In her sophomore year, Jan held the office of class secretary while joining Concert and Marching Band. As a junior, she was appointed Y-Teen historian besides taking an active part in CAA, GAA, Math Club, and Girls ' Basketball Team. Having reached her last year of high school, Jan added a few more clubs, including Audio and Pep Clubs, along with GLC. In regard to her academic achievements, Jan faired well with a place on the merit roll during her first two years of high school. KAREN COOK Karen Cook, a peppy little redhead, has been very interested in the activities of MHS. She held a three-year membership in GAA while joining Girls ' Glee Club in her sophomore year. In her second year of high school Pinky , as she is sometimes called, took part in Y-Teens besides working on the MEDINIAN staff and playing on the Girls ' Basketball Team. Continuing with Y-Teens in her final and most active year, she participated in CAA, Student Council, and was on the MEDINIAN staff as copy editor. Being full of vim and vigor, Karen was elected president of Pep Club as a senior. Busy Bee that she was, she valued good grades, thus earning honor roll status in her sophomore year and a place on the merit roll in her junior year. 10

CAROLYN DUSHENKE Carolyn Dushenke, one of this year ' s varsity cheerleaders, ac- quired cheering experience in her junior year as a reserve cheerleader. All three years Carolyn has been in Dramatics, GAA, and Y-Teens. As a sophomore, she participated in Spanish Club besides being in Marching and Concert Band. While still in the Band during eleventh grade, Carolyn took up two new clubs for the remainder of her high school career, GLC and Thespians. In her first year at Medina High Carolyn ranked high enough scholastically to be on the merit roll. THOM EMERSON Thom Emerson when asked his major interests replied in effect that they were loafing and talking. When he isn ' t loafing, Thom principally enjoys the activities of FFA in which he has taken part for the last three years. DICK ENGLAND Dick England, a loyal Republican, has played on the school ' s tennis team for the last three years. Showing great interest in p hotography, Dick became one of the photographers for the MEDINIAN and the MEDINAMITE staff in his last year of high school. JIM FAVRI Jim Favri played on the basketball as well as baseball team while attending Bedford Heights High in his sophomore year. Coming to Medina as a junior, Jim went out for the school ' s baseball team. In his leisure hours Jim likes to play a hot game of ping pong. 12
