ROBERT BERAN Robert Beran has not entered into any of our school activities but has taken part in two different record clubs outside of school to appease his interest in music. Working at a part-time job during his senior year, Bob found little time for school functions although he does take time out for fishing. RAY BIEGEL Ray Biegel has attended MH S during the past three years. His major interests consist of taking part in the woodworking and metal shops. While keeping up in his school work, he has found time to learn about the barbering profession. All the senior boys will get a free haircut very soon. CAROLYN BERRY Carolyn Berry signed up for a three-year hitch in Stacy ' s Army which includes Concert and Marching Band. In the tenth grade Carolyn took part in Y-Teens and Choir. As a junior, she continued to be in Y-Teens but also joined Orchestra and Audio Club. Reaching her final year of high school, Carolyn again took part in Y-Teens, Orchestra, and Audio Club as the club vice- president. She rejoined the Choir during her last year. CATHY BISSON Cathy Bisson, one of this year ' s Homecoming attendants, has held a three-year membership in GAA. In her junior year Cathy was a reserve cheerleader and on the Girls ' Basketball Team. As a senior, she became a varsity cheerleader and a member of Senior Council and Pep Club. Besides boosting the school spirit, Cathy was able to boost her grades to qualify for the merit roll as a sophomore and junior at MHS. 7

SENIORS The grand and glorious year for the class of ' 61 has arrived — ah, yes, that momentous senior year that every high school hopeful longs to reach. Projects of all types are undertaken to raise the amount necessary to see and enjoy the bright lights of New York City. There are fruit cakes and candy to be sold, pancake suppers to be prepared, and numerous cars to be washed. But at long last the two great events take place, the New York trip and graduation. Memories both big and small will linger long in the minds of each senior as the curtain is brought down on his final year of high school. 6

BOB BLOOM Bob Bloom has been a faithful member of band all three years of high school. In Marching Band he played the tuba and in Concert Band played the clarinet. In tenth grade Bob went out for track. As a junior, he was accredited for his academic efforts by being placed on the merit roll. For many years Bob has been interested in photography, the intrigue of the F. B. I., and the study of law. JIM BROOKINS Jim Brookins is a newcomer to Medina this year. Before coming to Medina High, he attended Mount Vernon High School in Mount Vernon, Ohio. Although Jim does not take part in any extra-curricu- lar activities, he does enjoy books, music, and keeping time with a set of bongo drums. JUDY BROWN Judy Brown, a perky Poe inhabitant, likes to spend her spare hours sewing. In the tenth grade Judy was in GAA in which she had a perfect attendance record throughout the entire year. FHA also attracted her attention in this first year at MHS. Continuing to take part in FHA in her junior year, Judy held the position of treasurer of this club. As a senior, Judy moved up to the office of FHA pres- ident and automatically became a member of the Student Council. When Sharon became a junior, she was promoted to a seat in Choir while also attending Dramatics Club. In her senior year of high school she continued to be in Dramatics and Choir but also took part in Pep Club, Y-Teens, and Choralettes.
