Displaying the talents for success, the Bees can assure their supporters of a victorious season in ' 62. 76 Looks like two points for us! Gee-e-e-e-e-e! The Queen Bee is crowned. Queen Marsha Hyatt and her two attendants, Cathy Bisson and Marti McCoach, reigned over the 1960 Homecoming festivities. The afternoon sun shone down upon the royalty as they paraded through town square on a majestic float of green and white created by the seniors. The next few hours passed quickly for all who joined in the festivities as the big game approached. Upon being presented the football by Queen Marsha, the Bees fought to the very end when they came in second best to Bay Village. Despite the loss, the Homecoming spirit was anything but dampened as the dance began with the beautiful crowning ceremony. This was a gala night to be remembered by everyone as the dreamy music of the Stardusters completed Homecoming of 1960. 81 82 BACK ROW: Carol Dayson, Sandy Fleming, Linda Suddle- son, Ron Emerson, Nancy Morton, John Newcomer, Eddie Jackson, Jan Aylard, Tom Sigafoos, Jack Wideman, Paul Carlson, Rod Yeager, Ken Henke, Kay Brown, Becky Rodgers, Jeff Post, Dave Schelkle, Linda Fuller, Larry Kurfis, Donn Summers, Bud Herrle, Linda Curtice, Craig Halliwill, Pat Whitney. CONCERT BAND The members of Band spent many hours of practice in preparation for their always enjoyable concerts and other performances during the year. Taking to the football field during half-times, the Bees put on such shows as Latin America and Highlights of Broadway. As football season came to a close, Concert Band came into the spotlight by producing four concerts during the remainder of the year. Besides the annual Winter and Spring Concerts, the Band played host to the Whitehall Concert Band for a joint concert while also traveling to Defiance in May. As always, Medina High salutes Stacy ' s Army for another successful year. 83 BACK ROW: Marti McCoach, Glenna Henning — President, Kay Fulton, Linda Curtice, Diane Dreibelbis, Ken Henke, Ron Delac, Al Williams, John Williams, Barbara McFadden, Augusta Meincke, Betty Bushman, Sue Penik, Jacquie Fel- labom, Carolyn Berry. For the first time, officers were elected, and records were made of the annual Christmas Con- cert to finance the purchase of new stoles. Two completely new vocal groups consisting of Choir members were organized this year. Counterpoints is com- prised of four girls and the same number of boys while Harmonaires is an all-male group. Under the leadership of the new director, the Choir can look forward to many successful years of vocal productions. 84 BACK ROW: Jim Loveman, John Newcomer, Jan Aylard, FRONT ROW: Ellen Washburn, Kay Fulton, Dixie Herth- Terry Kennedy. neck, Sally Stayton, Helen Gottron. As is the custom, the Coun- cil sponsored the Homecoming festivities and also the Holiday Hop which was a de- cided success compared to past Hops. Fur- thermore, the pet project for this year ' s Council was the creation of a green and white victory flag which will be flown after every athletic victory.
