The setting for this pictorial story of community spirit and vision was a grass- covered field of Medina. The property was purchased for an eventual high school, but was used for sev- eral years as a parking area and Little Lea- gue baseball field. In June of 1955 the work of building a new school was begun. The cooperation of planners, builders, and weather rapidly brought to reality the dream of an ad- equate, modern educational building. On November 4th open house gave our community an opportunity to see the climax of the story that started with a dream and a grass-covered field. 4

Like our new building, our MEDINIAN requires much planning and hard work to obtain the beautifully finished product which we have antici- pated. This year the yearbook staff had a regular class period in which to work on the Annual. However this does not mean that there was no work for the staff members after school hours. For the first time, also, the Annual staff enjoyed the privilege of having its own workshop in which to assemble its work. We are proud to introduce our faculty, other school employees, and each of our students. Now may we present ....
