Sidney M. Fenn B. S. M. A. in Administration Welcome to our new senior high school. We are so proud of our million-dollar build- ing and so happy to have a student body and faculty that mean even more to us, that we simply can ' t keep them for ourselves alone. We take pleasure in presenting our students and personnel at work and at ease in the pleasant atmosphere of Medina ' s new educa- tional landmark. Superintendent ' ' Educational landmark is right. It has been a pleasure for me to personally conduct dozens of visitors through our school, and I take pride in explaining to outsiders how provident our taxpayers have been, and how fortunate we are to have a board of education that has been so visionary yet immediately practical to give us this school. Now, with the help of the MEDINIAN staff, allow me to show you around the new building. Meeting here monthly or oftener is our Board of Education whom you shall meet first. Then the MEDINIAN staff will present the faculty, students, and activities. Principal 2 Howard E. Claggett B. A. M. A. in Administration

The setting for this pictorial story of community spirit and vision was a grass- covered field of Medina. The property was purchased for an eventual high school, but was used for sev- eral years as a parking area and Little Lea- gue baseball field. In June of 1955 the work of building a new school was begun. The cooperation of planners, builders, and weather rapidly brought to reality the dream of an ad- equate, modern educational building. On November 4th open house gave our community an opportunity to see the climax of the story that started with a dream and a grass-covered field. 4
