FOOTBALL TEAM These boys worked hard every evening, after school, practicing and getting in shape for the game they love, Football. They did a great job in every game and really clicked as our teams of M.H.S. The Student Body is proud of the team and is always willing to back it whether rain or snow, home or away or win or loose, for they still represent Medina High School. 4 as o PQ as Q G as +- If) g y TS g as a y u O Sh as « S Q as £ G o C 3 r— I S-i CD y t s 73 52 c o 03 c T • nH Sh 5-i PQ o PQ (H as X G o c 3 G • -H -t- as in 5h tuO - Q T 3 .2 CL x in y in M y as •”3 -Q O PQ g o c 3 5-i y 73 g o ffi -G y as O u GS Sh as Eh o o PQ Sh Sh y “3 C 3 as C 3 y 73 D 73 P 4 y X „ y cu as « h 5 3 o pc; Q Ph I— I X Eh 73 y Eh S-i y -Q • H y cq o -G Eh y as •“3 73 G j 3 M G . w y C 3 £• y Cuo i—H ct 3 y y • f-H 5-1 O u y • r H G G O pc 3 o ' 73 Lh Sh o O y N o -Q O G O -M C 3 • ” H 73 73 G PQ x y 5h 73 G as 73 y X C 3 Sh y tuO o PS ° „ G QJ Sh .5 -Q y ►-3 G o y Q ' l-J H 5 S • i-H as G « W - b £ y Q 5 2 w .5 o 5 H u o 5h PQ x O Ph Eh m X HI M o 2 Q £ ■ - Oh y s 13 Q t o 5 h r-H O cG y PQ O 44 T. The reserve basketball squad may not have won many games but they played their hearts out in every game, no matter win or lose. Thanks to Coach Salisbury the boys learned sportsmanship and had good, clean fun. 48 i This year seven girls led the football team on to victory. Aii, every home game these girls went down to the stadium V. v and decorated the goal posts for Medina and the visiting team. Also for every game the girls planned a pep rally for the team showing them that the school was Wfi behind them. H| For every game the girls were presented with jk jpJP corsages from the courtesy of Houses’ Flowers. . JL P The girls appreciated this very much. f The cheerleaders have worked very hard x W this year to back the team with school a spirit. Throughout the year, whenever the busy play schedule allowed time for a meeting, the club attended classes each of which featured a particular phase of theater work, such as makeup, construction, lighting, etc. Plays, presented by or in affiliation with the Drama Club during this season were, besides the senior and contest plays, Herczeg’s “Seven Sisters”, and Shakespeare’s “Taming of the Shrew.” The stage crew for the latter was composed entirely of freshmen, who received this privilege as compensation for the fact that they were deprived of a Freshman play. Oh, yes — we worked our way out of the deep, deep red. That in itself is representative of an extremely successful year. 61 DRAMATICS FIRST ROW: Faye Gedeon, Frances Linn, Nancy Sheerlein, Becky Young, Winnie Gray, Frances Jones, Kay Parish, Beverly Pelton. The production of this annual was completed after many acts but, no scenes. A blend of bright lights, clacking typewriters, rubber cement, India ink, student lists, galley proofs, re-writes and deadlines all led slowlyj but surely to a happy ending. 66 HOMECOMING One of the main events in the hearts of the 1952 Seniors which will long be remembered is the annual Homecoming. Our team elected Winifred Gray, Queen, and Wilma Jones and Becky Young as her atten- dants. At the pep assembly before the Rocky River game, Queen Winifred expressed her thanks and appreciation for being given this great honor. The presentation of the foot- ball to the Co-Captains preceeded the game which was a real thriller all the way with Medina winning 9 to O. This exciting day ended with a dance at the High School with music by our own Stardusters. Y-TEEN FORMAL The theme of this year’s Y-Teen Formal was Evening in Paris. A very efficient committee of girls arranged for Les Elgin’s orchestra to play. All in all it was one of the best Y-Teen Formats Medina High School has ever seen. 68 Ca xmxsic is the p vojpkels art Cftooog Ike cpflx that Cxod. hoik xextb One at tkemosb magnificent?
