Miss Ella in Kindergarten gave us our start, Then We learned reading and numbers by heart, Not much of the Lincoln can We now remember Except a vacation at the end ot December. ln the Garfield We learned English, history, and math. And struggled along a diiiicult path. Freshmen, at last. Ah! The end is in sight, But such teachers and studies! We never seem right, Our importance as Sophomores increased a year later As our loyalty increased to our dear alma mater , We were luniors at last and prepared for the lun Oi being the Seniors in 22l. E our years of chemistry, speech, trigonometry, English and history, Latin, geometry, Typing, science, algebra, civics, Shorthand, biology, Spanish, and physics. These partly absorbed as We entered to learn Now going to serve is our present concern. ? Q A 2 x , . 1 5 4 , ve 4 'aw .5 li I W Iwi X . u 11. MAJUHETTES Particularly active during football season, the rnajorette section of the marching band has, this year, been increased to include ten members. Tall, red-haired Helen Hallock strutted down the gridiron as chief majorette assisted by the tour junior majorettes, Virginia Higgins, leannette Harrington, Betty Frost, and Carol Spencer at every game. As a new feature, the three flag-twirlers, Garvin Hooven, Marilyn Kenyon, and lla Williams were an impressive addition, Last, but certainly not least, from the junior high came Mary Ellen Sailer and Tornrny Fisher to twirl batons at each side of our chief majorette, BAND OFFICERS President ....,.............. ..................,.,.
