The council consists of three sen- iors, three Juniors, two sophomores, one freshman, one representative from each of the student organizations, and one additional member chos- en at large by the faculty members. The preamble of the constitution expresses the purpose of a stud- ent council: Wwe the students of the Medina high school, in order to spread the spirit of responsiblity, leadership, personal growth, good citizenship and co-operation: in order to foster movements for school and community improvment: in order to achieve unity of effort in realiz ing the ideals of education a d democracy: do establish this constitu- tion of the Medina high school student counc11.' The council has charge of student activities. It sponsors the skating rink: plans school parties: promotes student safety: provides assembly programs! and conducts general student affairs. Last fall four students, Gerry Eissinger, Donald Johnson, Arlys Wittmer, and Mona Reule with their advisor, M. W.
