DEDICATION Mrs. Carpenter often officiates at various assembly meetings. The Annual Staff wishes to dedicate the 1984 Bobcat to Mrs. Faye Carpenter. Mrs. Carpenter is a graduate of Lockhart High School. She began college in San Marcos in January of 1944, where she earned her bachelor ' s degree. She graduated from Stephen F. Austin University with her master ' s degree. Mrs. Carpenter has taught in a number of schools in Texas before her years of service at Medina. These other two communities were Comstock and Del Rio. She has also taught in Florida for one year. Mrs. Carpenter was the elementary principal from 1973 to 1979. She then became the high school and elementary principal in 1979. Mrs. Carpenter is the wife of Mr. Tom Carpenter. They have both been residents of Median since August of 1962. We wish to congradulate Mrs. Carpenter for her support over the years at Medina; her professionalism and high standards have helped to set a productive and positive learning mood for everyone in our institution.

IN MEMORIAM Kim Britt Eoff, daughter of Joe and Virginia Britt and the wife of Sam Eoff Beyond Death When she who was the source of all my sighs Fled from the world, herself, my straining sight, Nature, who gave us that unique delight, Was sunk in shame, and we had weeping eyes. Yet shall not vauntful death enjoy the prize, This sun of suns which then he veiled in night; For Love hath triumphed, lifting up her light On earth, and ' mid the saints in Paradise. What though remorseless and impiteous doom Deemed that the music of her deeds would die, And that her splendour would be sunk in gloom? The poet ' s page exalts her to the sky With life more living in the lifeless tomb, And Death translates her soul to reign on high. — Michelangelo
