Dorothy came to us from the Ash- land High School at the beginning of her junior year and immediately found a place in our affections. Her sunny disposition and her spirit of genuine friendliness made her a favorite with all the students of our school. Her death has saddened the closing weeks of our last year in high school, but the memory of her will abide through the years that are to come. Her passing calls to our minds the beautiful words from Longfellow’s Evangeline. “And when she had passed it seemed like the ceasing of exquisite music.”
