Mechanicalgenius, LELAND JEN- SEN, was the proud owner of a '41 Chevy that changed colors every now and then. Tootling on the clarinet and singing bass in chorus were addi- tional interest of this blond young man who answered to the names of Sonny or Doc, At graduation he hailed from Lake, but previously he had lived in California and Reserve. Trombone artist GERALD LYN- GAAS played solos for many events and led his section in band. Besides this he backboned the bass section in chorus. Science and math were Jerry's favorites, and he planned to continue in that line. He acquired a reputa- tion asa dryhumorist, and by the time he wasaseniorhad a large vocabulary of mile-long words, which he tossed around in an accomplished manner. Ugf wiuy DENNIS LARSEN, a Dagmar Dane, added much to classroom hu- mor. He could always be counted upon to work hard on class activities and many times burned midnight oil in an attempt to get the BDA WAUKA out on time. Dane also took and de- veloped many HONKER pictures. He belonged to FFA for four years. Dagmarite LEROY LODAHL had the reddest hair in the class and was easily recognized by his fondness for western attire, including cowboy boots. He played a part in the class play, but his main interest was zipping around in his cream-colored '51 Mercury. Many classmates will long remember his droll remarks. 5333. ,.--. x,1 u:i1f:f. f -'Fifi zxglgxxfs it '43 5 KL' iii' 5 -4 I 5 gg-ik . .3 Q . , . 1. -, N , vu D n It Q 2 vw -.
