I 'I l With the coming of spring, began the usual whirlof activities for Lake students. As usual, the juniors and seniors were the center of most of the excitement. May Z, parents of the seniors honored their offspring and the fac- ulty with a delicious dinner at the Lake gym. Immediately after this, juniors began decorating for the Prom. They chose a western theme and by the time the Banquet and Prom, biggest social events of the year, rolled around, the gym had its annual festive spring appearance. Young love in Mountain Music . Big moment. . .choosing band instruments. Tiny tots at carnival. These kids certainly have romantic minds. I I U Grade and junior high students sponsored many programs which were enjoyed by the public. Some of these were the Tiny Tot show at the carnival, the annual Christmas program, and an operetta this spring. Also they contributed a number to the Fireman's Benefit and many of the youngsters took an active part in the highly successful beginners' band. ' Trouble in Toyland. .. .

Mr. Andreasen, advisor, assisted by Mr. Henry Jorgensen, Vance Pet- ersen, BDA WAUKA editor, and Joan Madsen, HONKER editor, led the 15 journalists throughout the year. Al- though most publications were slight- ly late, the group claimed to have learned many things, and felt that if we only had another year BDA WAUKA and HONKER d e ad 1 i n e s would be met on time with amazing products of journalism.
