PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE This yearbook portrays an exciting year in the life of Medicine Hat High School, its people and events. This is a time to make thoughtful reflections, as well as a time to think of the future. We had many outstanding experiences this year. Student Council was extremely active in governing student affairs, promoting school spirit fmany spirit weeksl, having school dances and having all of us participate in MOGA. Our school teams were again successful in bringing honor to the school. Outstanding among the championships was the girls' basketball team who brought to Medicine Hat High School its first provincial Basketball Championship. The Arts had a remarkable year as well, with excellent performances by drama, and the band. School Art was exceptional. Academically, our school marks are among the best in the province. This year marked the graduation of our first S.E.A.L. class. To the two hundred seventy-five graduating grade XII,s I extend very best wishes for the future! You can go forward in confidence, knowing that you have received a quality education. I extend best wishes to all students who will be returning next year. May you find your goals of happiness, and progress toward a high school diploma fulfilled. I have enjoyed being your principal, and my association with Hat High. My aim was to make a difference. I trust I have achieved it. D. J. Beresh Principal Special Note: Our School has lost a hardworking administrator, when Dr. Beresh, our Principal, resigned to take a new posting as Assistant-Superintendent for our School District 876. Medicine Hat High School has benefitted greatly under the leadership of Dr. Beresh. We have had a number of new and successful innovations in our make-up and have improved and varied other systems within our school. We, the students, the teaching staff, the support staff, and the Yearbook committee wish Dr. Beresh much success and fulfillment in his new position with the Medicine Hat School District 376.
