OUR NEW SCHOOL SUPERIN TEN DEN T Our School District, Medicine Hat No. 76, has always been front-runners in education. The students, parents and teachers of Medicine Hat School District No. 76 have been fortunate in our leaders - a dedicated School Board and a well-educated, hard-working and an extremely conscientious group of administrators, Dr. H. Storlien, as Assistant Superintendent, was one of our first-rate admin- istratorsg and his elevation to the highest rung of our educational administrative ladder can only mean our educational system will reach even higher heights. Dr. H. Storlien Superintendent MedicineHal School District No. 76 Enclosed is the letter which all teachers in our school system received which outlines Dr. Storlien's expectations as our new Superintendent of Schools: MEDICINE HAT ScHooL DISTRICT No. 76 mnsn 601 - lst Avenue SW., Medicine Hat, Alberta TTA 4Y7 Telephone: 14031526-1323 January llth, 1988 A Letter to All Staff Members of the Medicine Hat School District No. 76 from Harold T. Storlien Dear Staff Member: I consider it a privilege and an honour to have been selected by the Board of Trustees of the Medicine Hat School District No. 76 to serve as its Superintendent of Schools and Chief Executive Officer of the Board, upon the retirement of our present Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Ken Sauer. I see a tremendous challenge before me as I assume the superintendency position from Dr. Sauer who has provided exemplary leadership to our school system for fourteen years. lt is a pleasure to have worked closely with Dr. Sauer for the past eleven years. I hold great respect for him, and I know he will be a tough act to follow. However, I am confident, and the Board of Trustees has confidence in me, that I will provide strong leadership for our excellent school system. 160
