E IOR GIRL ' BASKETB LL The Senior Kwahommies 5 had an outstanding year. We came first in the 4A Southern Alberta Girls, basketball league with a 14-1 record. We came second in the Southern Alberta Zone Playoff, losing to LCI 51-50. ADDITIONAL SPORTS INTEREST W 2 t f 1 IS Q X no I1S,kS .hh fm, Tre vor Forbes Randy Derheim Memorial Award 1983 marked the first year that a trophy was awarded for the most dedicated Mohawk Volleyball Player. It is known as the Randy Derheim Memorial Award in honour of a former Medicine Hat High School student who excelled in the sport at MHHS and later at Medicine Hat College. Those who remember Randy recall a dedicated, caring, competitive individual who was a friend to all. Randy will never reach the goals he set for himself but his family and friends hope that the trophy and award in his honour will benefit other young men like him.
