ADDITIONAL CSPORTS INTERESTS Randy Derheim Memorial Award 1983 marked the first year that a trophy was awarded for the most dedicated Mohawk Volleyball Player. lt is known as the Randy Derheim Memorial Award in honour of a former Medicine Hat High School student who excelled in the sport at MHHS and later at Medicine Hat College. Those who remember Randy recall a dedicated, caring, competitive individual who was a friend to all. Randy will never reach the goals he set for himself but his family and friends hope that the trophy and award in his honour will benefit other young men like him. The recipient for this year's Randy Derheim Memorial Award was Tom Finley. Congratulations, Tom! Mr. R. Tschritter Tom Finley Prgcligg, Team in action.

IUR VARSITY KWAHOMMIE The Junior Varsity Kwahommies have again had a successful year. We finished the season with a record of eight wins and six losses. We won the consolation trophy at the Foremost Tournament and were seen as being strong contenders in our league. This year saw the addition of Miss Davies as our assistant coachg we thank her for her time and excellent help. This year's team awards were as fol- lows: Best Hustle: Carmen Lonson Most Improved: Shelly Slessor Most Sportsmanlike: Carla Schlenker Best Defensive Player: Shannon Todd Best Offensive Player: Svava Thors- teinson This season we decided on two Most Valuable Players: Tracey Dueck and Svava Thorsteinson.
