The educational philosophy is planned to give through a suitable faculty-student interface a broad knowledge of the art and science of medicine, proficiency in the essential techniques and methods, and an inquisitive attitude and a sense of responsibility for life-long self instruction and self audit. 22 ,- 'M-, N. 12 'W es' 45, 'fx ,f- ' M, if Q ' gn 5 axjji Pharmacy .L ., I ,AV . ,-' , ...Q 1 I -'90 The School of Pharmacy occupies a unique position in being intimately affiliated with the various de- partments of the School of Medicine. Pharmacy stu- dents receive instruction in such courses as biological chemistry, physiology, pharmacology. public health and bacteriology from teachers who have specialized in these respective fields. The correlation of these courses regularly offered in the School of Pharmacy is most valuable. and is made possible only in those schools where both the course in medicine and phar- macy are taught. Dentlstr The School of Dentistry regards as its specific commitment and its mission to admit to dental study intellectually and morally qualified students and to prepare them for effective professional and community service in the technological and democratic society into which they will be gradu- atedg to instill in them a sense of vocation. a solid foundation for professional and graduate education of a continuing nature. and the inspira- tion to pursue new ideas and to seek for new knowledge. As one of the professional schools of the Medical College of South Carolina, the School of Nursing shares the College's aim which is the pursuit of excellence in education, patient care. and research. The School of Nursing aims to prepare its stu- dents as beginning practitioners of nursing in hospitals, homes, or other community agencies where nursing care programs are carried out and to function as useful, constructive citizens in their communities. It further aims to prepare qualified students for admission to graduate programs of study in nursing. za p a 1123 3 'Fluf- 1 X v v NNN -'-Q .MA - R ,J 1 ?, , 1... ,,. fff,gr,-ab f w .. f , , , av Allied Health The School of Allied Health Sciences was established in 1966. So why do we make the others? We make them all because individual requirements can vary so widely, in desired physical properties, in color preferences, and in economics. We feel that in selecting a Ney casting gold you should have a complete choice, so that you can pick the Ney gold tailor-made to meet your particular pref erence and requirements, Thus with Ney golds you never have to settle for second-best. incidentally, we think you will find one of our com- plete new physical property chans very handy for reference. Just write us and we'll send you a copy. 'This product appears on The American Dental Association List 0fCert1t1ed Dental lVlater1als. THE J. lvl. NEY Maplewood Ave., Bloomfield, Conn.
