She holds a B.S. Degree in Public Health Nurs- ing from Peabody College for Teachers, Nashville, Tennessee and a M.A. Degree from Teachers Col- lege, Columbia University, New York City. I-ler background includes supervision in Nursing Service and in teaching and administration. As a member of the Emory University, School of Nursing Faculty for twelve years, she was head of the Department of Medical-Surgical Nursing. She was Director of the Piedmont Hospital School of Nurs- ing from 1963-1965. She has been a member of the National League for Nursing since its inception and has held nu- merous state offices. She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau National I-lonor Society in Nursing. Much of Miss Mills experience in collegiate nursing has included the critical study of the Nature of Professional Nursing and various research explorations in the development of designs which might yield data toward the possible development of a theory of Clinical Nursing.
