Sinai Hospital School of Nursing, received her B.S. and M.A. degrees in Nursing Education and Administration from Teachers' College, Columbia University in New York City. Miss Chamberlin has served as Night Supervisor at Mt. Sinai Hospital, Assistant Director of Nursing at Rochester General Hospital, Educational Director and Director of Nursing at the Syracuse University School of Nursing, Education Director of the Medical College of South Carolina School of Nursing and Director of Nursing at Roper Hospital. During World War ll, she held the rank of Major in the Army Nurse Corps. Miss Chamberlin is now Dean of the School of Nursing at the Medical College of South Carolina. After active participation in a number of committees, Miss Chamberlin became the first president of the South Carolina State League for Nursing Education and is a past president of the State Nurses' Association. Since 1949, she has served on the Executive Committee ofthe South Carolina State Board of Health. Miss Chamberlin is a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, honorary society for teachers, and appears in several Who's Who publications, including the first edition of Who's Who of American Women in 1958.
