ii aX f Er. Egnrlg Ur. Lynch was born in Hamilton, Texas. on November 27. 1887. He was educated in public schools and received his M.D. degree in 1910 from the University of Texas. ln 1910 and 1911 Dr. Lynch was a resident Pathologist at the Philadelphia General Hospital and in 1911- 1913 he was instructor in Pathology at the Uni- versity of Pennsylvania. During these years he was also assistant Pathologist at the Philadelphia Ceneral Hospital and University of Penn. Hospital. ln 1913-21 he was a professor of Pathology at the Medical College of South Carolina and during this time he served in the United States Army as a Captain in the Medical Corps. ln 1926 Dr. Lynch returned to the Medical College of 5-South Carolfna as a professor of Pathology. ln 19115-'13 he was vice-:lean and in 194-4 became dean. llr. Lynch became president of the Medical College ol' South Carolina in 191-9 in which capacity he selves at the present time. isa Qllyzuixlwrlin Miss Chamberlin was graduated from the Mt. Sinai Hospital School of Nursing in New York City. She received her B. S. and M.A. degrees in Nursing Education and Administration from Teachers' College. Columbia University, in New York City. She has served as Night Supervisor at Mt. Sinai Hospital. Assistant Director of Nursing at Roches- ter Ceneral Hospital. and Educational Director and Director of Nursing at the Syracuse Uni- versity School of Nursing. Miss Chamberlin is at present Dean of the School of Nursing of the Medical College of South Carolina. During W. W. ll she had leave of absence when she held the rank of Major in the Army Nurse Corps as chief nurse of the Mt. Sinai Hospital Unit. ln organ'zational work Miss Chamberlin was first president of the S. C. State League for Nursingg is past president of the S. C. State Nurses' Association and is the nurse representa- tive to the Executive Committee of the State Board ol' Health.
