Miss Chamberlin was graduated from the Mt. Sinai Hospital School of Nursing in New York City. She received her B. S. and M. A. degrees in Nursing Education and Administration from Teacher's College, Columbia University in New York City. She has served as Night Supervisor at Mt. Sinai. Hospital, Assistant Director of Nursing at Rochester General Hospital, and Educational Director and Director ot Nursing at the Syracuse University School of Nursing. Miss Chamberlin is at present Dean of the School of Nursing of the Medical College of South Carolina. During W. W . II she had leave of absence when she held the rank of Major in the Army Nurse Corps as chief nurse of the Mt. Sinai Hospital Unit. In organizational work Miss Chamberlin was first president of the S. C. State League for Nurs- ingg is past president of the S. C. State Nurses' Association and is the nurse representative to the Executive Committee of the State Board of Health. RUTH CHAMBERLIN, R. N. Dean, School of Nursing of the Medical College of South Carolina , , If aewfawffawamvewfew Dr. Lynch was born in Hamilton, Texas, on Novem- ber 27, 1887. He was educated in public schools and re- ceived his M. D. degree in 1910 from the University ot Texas. In 1910 and 1911 Dr. Lynch was a resident Pathol- ogist at the Philadelphia General Hospital and in 1911- 1913 he was instructor in Pathology at the University of Pennsylvania. During these years he was also assistant Pa- thologist ar the Philadelphia General Hospital and Univer- sity of Penn. Hospital. In 1915-21. he was a professor of Pathology at the Medical College of South Carolina and M during this time he served in the United States Army as a Captain in the Medical Corps. In 1926 Dr. Lynch re- turned to the Medical College of South Carolina as a pro- fessor of Pathology. In 1955-45 he was vice-dean and in 19-14 became dean. Dr. Lynch became president of the Medical College of South Carolina in 1949, in which capa- city he serves at the present time. DR.
