MCP The Medical College of Pennsylvania The President Members of the Class of 1986: Mow is the time, as you move into the next phase of your professional careers, to pause and look ahead, but, first, to look back. As you reflect on the months and years of prep- aration, the long hours of study, that have brought you thus far along the way, I hope your minds will linger in grateful recollection on the care and support you have received from so many — the attention and love that brought you here. To your family, your friends, your teachers, your classmates, and even to some benefactors unknown to you, you owe a debt of gratitude which you can repay only by trying to help others who will come along in your footsteps. Fulfilling that obligation, you will find, is a pleasurable and rewarding experience that adds a reveren- tial dimension to your life. As you look ahead, you will be entering the field of health care in a time of change which, for scope and rapidity, is unprecedented. You will be a participant in progress beyond your dreams in healing and rehabilitation. You will participate, too, in a revolu- tionary restructuring of health care delivery.
