Class Advisor KATHARINE R. BOUCOT M.D., M.P.H., F.A.C.P., F.A.C.C.P. Professor of Preventive Medicine Clinical Professor of Medicine THE DEDICATED HEART George Santayana said, The great question is not what age you live in or what art you pursue but what perfection you can achieve in that art under those circumstances. The Class of 1963 goes into the world of medicine with considerable knowledge and many techniques. You will blend these over the years with understanding and tenderness into the art of medicine, which is true healing. Today, world crisis bring the possibility of destruction close,- how deeply grateful you should feel that you have chosen to re- store, to soothe, to minister. Y ou have the inner strength of the dedicated heart. I know this because you have been very close to me. I wish you Godspeed with pride and satisfaction in an exceptionally fine group of young women. Wherever you go, our support and trust will be with you. Remember that you may always return for guidance, assistance, or appreciation. With esteem and affection Katharine R. Boucot, M.D.
