DEDICATION A perfect woman, nobly plann'd To wain, to comfort, and command j And yet a spirit still, and bright Q1 With something of angelic light. - - Wordsworth MRS . DRUCILLA GLEAVES Since the time of her arrival in 1962, Mrs. Gleaves has served the students in the capacity of teacher, sponsor, and guide. She has understood our problems, assisted us with patience of steel, listened to our complaints with an admirable smile, inspired us with confidence, encouraged us when we were disheartened, and enhanced our chances for success. One of our fondest memories was her determination to make us satisfied and happy. We can never adequately express our appreciation for all her many contributionsg but at this time we would make this final tribute to her in dedicating this, the 1965 Cap and Candle. 6

This was the famous chant of Mrs. Jane Smith, secretary of the School of Nursing, concerning the Infamous Class of l965. Our class had had it's share of ups and downs, as all classes have, but we would never have pulled through ii' it was not for Mrs. Smith's genuine interest and concern in us. She was always ready to listen to our complaints, and complain we did! The ohjective advice and guidance she gave us always led us down the right path. When we recall some ol' our happiest moments during the last three years, we automatically think of the parties Mrs. Smith gave our class. tWe sometimes wonder it' she had stock in Food Fair.J We will long appreciate her l'aitlil'ul presence at school activities. Mrs. Smith, we admire and respect you. Thank you for your never failing interest and willing help. With utmost appreciation We remain, The Seniors 7
