In our seasons and times to come, we shall perhaps forget some details and persons involved in the events of these three years we have passed at Woman's Medical College Hospital. It is for this reason that a pictorial re- cording of our life at Woman's Med has been compiled. We hope it will serve as a passport, so to speak, to the memories of these times and times to come. We have run the gamut of our stay here and the sea- sons we have shared now ebbs toward its end. We shall no longer share a life together for we go our separate ways and though we keep in contact and share life with some we have known here, we shall no longer share with all as the class of 1965 . So, with memories of all that has passed, the silly, the sad and the sentimental, we bid you begin this pictorial history of our class of 1965 and per- haps even some of the things that were most unpleasant to endure may even prove pleasant to remember as Seneca once said. So to borrow a phrase from our Alma Mater, though time ever flowing, bids us be going, may the memo- ries in these pictures bind us through all our seasons to come. 2 TABLE OF CONTENTS F ORE WORD THEME DEDI CA TION APPRE CIA TION FA CUL TY AND ADMINISTRA TION DEPARTMENTS SENIOR CANDIDS SEN! DRUCILLA GLEAVES Since the time of her arrival in 1962, Mrs. Gleaves has served the students in the capacity of teacher, sponsor, and guide. She has understood our problems, assisted us with patience of steel, listened to our complaints with an admirable smile, inspired us with confidence, encouraged us when we were disheartened, and enhanced our chances for success. One of our fondest memories was her determination to make us satisfied and happy. We can never adequately express our appreciation for all her many contributionsg but at this time we would make this final tribute to her in dedicating this, the 1965 Cap and Candle. 6 IN APPRECIATIGN . This was the famous chant of Mrs. Jane Smith, secretary of the School of Nursing, concerning the Infamous Class of l965. Our class had had it's share of ups and downs, as all classes have, but we would never have pulled through ii' it was not for Mrs. Smith's genuine interest and concern in us. She was always ready to listen to our complaints, and complain we did! The ohjective advice and guidance she gave us always led us down the right path. When we recall some ol' our happiest moments during the last three years, we automatically think of the parties Mrs. Smith gave our class. tWe sometimes wonder it' she had stock in Food Fair.J We will long appreciate her l'aitlil'ul presence at school activities. Mrs. Smith, we admire and respect you. Thank you for your never failing interest and willing help.
