1' KYLE LARAMORE, R.N. It is with great pride that we, the class of 1960, dedicate to you-Miss Laramore-this volume of Cap and Candle. You-who have returned to your duties after many personal hardships-have guided us in more ways than you yourself may realize. Not only was your understanding, encouragement, and always pleasant personality helpful to us when we faced new experiences, but your undying devotion for your profession has indeed become a very special in- centive for us. And so to you may we say-to us you are a shining example of what we, one day, hope to be.

FOREWORD Our years in training have been a time of intense growth. In three years we have probably matured more than we shall at any other period in our future lives. We have further developed the great potential that is ours. We owe much to those who helped us to attain our goal. Through them we discovered a relationship be- tween the world of people and the much larger universe of which we are only a part. Ours was an experience of living and working to- gether in a close, friendly, personal situation. Out of the many casual relationships within the class came close friendships. As the months and years passed, we gradually became individuals. Out of many anonymous faces emerged many distinct identifiable personalities. As we pass through the remaining seasons of our lives, let us continue working in the finest traditions of the Woman's Medical College Hospital School of Nursing.
