We, the Class of 1959, take immeasurable pride in dedicating this Cap and Candle to our Mother Poob-Miss Wallack. It was you who listened to our complaints and understood our many never ending problems. When we were disheartened you inspired us with confidence. With the strength of Samson you guided our paths and lent us of your wisdom. With tried patience you endured our many errors and sought to mold and coun- sel us into the finished product that we would be no less than the best. It was your determined effort that time and time again came shining through to give us the stamina we so often needed. Your memory will live in the hearts and minds of every one of us and each of us owe a little of what we are today to you. A perfect woman nobly planned To warn, to comfort, and command. THE FLORENCE NIGHTINGALE PLEDGE I solemnly pledge myself before God and in the presence of this assembly, to pass my life in purity and to practice my profession faithfully. I will abstain from whatever is delete- rious and mischievous, and will not take or knowingly ad- minister any harmful drug. I will do all in my power to main- tain and elevate the standard of my profession, and will hold in confidence all personal matters committed to my keeping and all family affairs coming to my knowledge in the prac- tice of my calling.
