It is impossible for us to put into words the varied and great amount of experience we have acquired in these years. Nothing will ever influence our lives more than this period of train- ing. We have learned to use our bodies, our minds, and our hearts for the benefit of mankind. As we step from our blues into our whites, we have not come to an endg but we have come to a new begin- ning. We have become proud members of a great profession. We have made many new friends. In living to- gether as a family for three years, we have shared fun, happiness, and sadness. To lengthen and preserve the memories of these three years, we, the class of 1953, put forth this issue of THE CAP and CANDLE. f 7 eww 690 pam! IZ? 'C' Dear Mom and Dad, The memories of my three years of training are not complete without your presence. Thank you for having faith in me, for encourage- ment when I felt blue, for sharing my happiness when the road seemed smoother, and for your love and the many ways you showed it, making me feel everything was worthwhile-that you were stand- ing beside me every step of the way. For all of these reasons and many more, this book, THE CAP and CANDLE, is affectionately and respectfully dedicated to you, my Mom and Dad. Love, Your daughter 1' N .- '.
