WPut ape he 1 htTa k ln 1838 the Georgia Railroad and Banking Co planned a major depot an Decatur Georgia at the terminus of the only railroad west However some people thought that the noise ofthe train would disturb their cows and frighten their chickens and would result ln lowering the quality of their dairy and poultry products Because of this our company moved the location of the new depot sux miles to the west to a town called Marthasvxlle later known as Atlanta Atlanta has come a long way since Georgia Railroad built that first depot And so has The Georgia. Today we're one of the major banks in Georgia. And like in those early railroad days we are reaching out to help people meet their financial needs.
