s tw cg 0 MCG , in ,, Y ws . .. --...,--, c.. ,.. .v tt it tt 11 ' is H r it . 1 it at S it ta The Aesculapius Club Members of the Aesculapius Club of the Medical College of Georgia today include individuals in the business community, alumni from all five MCG schools, former residents and interns, health professionals from other schools who have developed an interest in MCG because they now practice in this region, and many other friends of the College. This important group provides leadership in areas where financial needs are critical. They recognize that a relatively small transfusion of aid, if supplied in time, can do more good than a massive amount of aid after a program has suffered major set- backs. Funds of The Aesculapius Club are used primarily for innovative programs which contribute to the excellence of the Medical College - in particular those areas which cannot be funded by state or federal sources, or those which can be funded only after serious damage would have resulted due to delay. For example, fellowship and emergency student loan programs: distinguished and visiting professorships and lectureships: faculty recruit- ment: research programs: equipment: apparatus repair: and unusual library requirements. Members of The Aesculapius Club contribute between S250 and 51,499 annually. The Aesculapius Club honors its members at an annual dinner, and at that time presents them with a handsome walnut desk case inlaid with brass. To help encourage others toward a higher standard of giving, Aesculapius Club members give permission for their names to be included in an annual Honor Roll.
