S. teams have won four County Championships in 1928, 1935, 1938, and 1940. They won one Sectional Tournament in 1927. They have won three S. E. I. League Champion- ships in 1927, 1959, and 1940. In the group picture above Herb Anderson is holding the S. E. I. League Championship trophy, the second the boys have won in two years. Shorty Trestle is holding the Des Moines County Tournament trophy. Mr. Anwyl has coached the Mediapolis Basketball team the last four years. First it won the county tournement by winning over Huron, Yarmouth, and Sperry. At the district such teams as Tiffin Conesvllle, and Oxford Junction were met and defeated.
