tit YEARBOOK The Picard worked under the direction of Mr, Pfeifer to make a great annual for the school. Each page of the Picarof was planned and layed out last Fall. Then came the task of identifing and cement- ing the individual pictures to the pages. Tim Tingleaf and Chris Bassettwere kept busy taking over 1600 pictures from which the ones used in this book were selected, Mark Lawton was kept busy getting sports scores and preparing the sports section while Mary King and Jackie Bleth worked on the individual pictures section, Dave Woodcock pre- pared the divider pages and assisted the rest of the staff. Sue Newcomb served as editor and co- ordinated the work of the entire staff. ..... Sue Newcomb, Picard Editor, ponders over a proposed layout for this year's yearbook. NEWSPAPER Fifteen Sabre staff members, led by editor-in-chief Elizabeth McAfee, publish- ed six newspapers during the school year. Students applied skills in news, feature and sports writing, and learned makeup tech- niques. The Sabre was distributed in homerooms. Two special six page issues were published, with Journalism 1X2 stu- dents helping on the second one. Brenda Hartley and Julie Wilkinson paste up copy for an issue of The Sabre. l ,5ff'?m2,1s4awva1umzep '
