GIRLS' SERVICE CLUB There are 148 girls in the Girls' Service Club. These girls direct all of their attention to the betterment and enjoyment of our school. They have done such things as having a clothing drive and a canned food drive. In addition they have put up bulletin board displays in the halls and made Christmas deco- rations for the rooms. During the summer some members helped with the Children's Festival in Jacksonville. Mrs. Kovenz is the advisor and during her absence Mr, Finkbeiner played mother to this club. STUDENT UNION The Medford Mid High Student Union is a boys' service club which Was organized this year. The main purpose of the club Members of the Girls' Service Club put finishing touches on Christmas Decorations. is to improve the Mid High. This past year the club has helped to raise funds for athletic expenses and to help new students become familiar with the school. The FHA is composed of a group of girls who major in home economics. During the year the club participated in various activitiesg such as a cupcake sale and a pickle sale on Marauder Day. They also held a car Wash, The advisor is Mrs, Lord and the president is Tricia Fasel. Tricia Fasel prepares frosting for the cupcake sale,

SOPHOMORE CHORUS The Freshman and Sophomore Choirs have had a full year of various activities. They participated in the Christmas program and the operetta Bye Bye Birdie, as Well as several small programs. Miss Hill is the director of the Freshman Choir and Mr. Graber is the director of the Sophomore Choir. Membership for the choir is determined by a student's singing ability. FRESHMAN CHORUS

l GERMAN CLUB Students taking German form the Deutscher Klub to promote interest in the German culture. Mrs. Smith is the club ad- visor, Officers are Paul Ely, Paula Greer, Pam Mercer, and Diane Eisenstein. Club activities included speakers, fund raising sales, and displays. The Mid High Russian Club fChaika Committeej was organized during the 1967-1968 school year to encourage a better under- standing of Russian. Officers were Steve Sakurai, George Dumphy, Dierolre Worthlake, Kathy McMeen, and Tom Canon, The Russian Club held a Ukrainian Easter Egg party in April and a Russian dinner in Februa .
