Home Rooms All students of the Mid High participated in a homeroom pro- gram designed to bridge a gap in communications between stu- dents and the faculty. While homerooms are designated for communication, students often welcome the 26 minute period at mid-day as a break from classes. The homeroom program committee, headed by Activity - Director John Finkbeiner and assisted by six teachers 1Craig Meredith, Robert Kawachika, Carrol Graber, Del Swearingen, Marion Jack, and Gary Blairy and four aides fDickie Wright, Eleanor Piche, Bonnie Morris, and Margaret Simmonsj, worked hard all year to provide plenty of entertainment, in- formative news, and adequate time for study halls. Entertainment ranged from litterbug films to talent shows. The news went from smoking films and clinics to everyday school news. This year marks the end of homeroom as we know it. Next year the homeroom system will be revised: the freshman and sophomore classes will be divided into four sections which will alternate between the library, study halls and films, all located in separate rooms.
