Science To help give students an opportunity to develop logical thinking, to solve problems, and to better understand the complexities of on a planaria regeneration experiment. today's society, the science classes consist of physical science lab applied science, biology, and lab assistance. During the months of April and May, two major field trips were taken by the science classes. On April 7, 8, 14, and 15, the applied science and biology classes traveled to the Medford High Planetar- ium. Here the students listened to a talk given by Mr. Jack Fink about the universe and information relating to plantariums. Ap- proximately 40 students and eight advisors, on May 3 and 4, spent the weekend at the coastal area near Crescent City, While at the coast, the students observed animal and plant life. The purpose of this trip was to let the students observe what they had previously studied in the classroom. Studying the interaction of the laws of matter and energy, the physical science lab classes spend most of their time making ob- servations through labs and learning to develop skills in measuring, using laboratory equipment, and organizing data, A Applied science classes consist mainly of a general coverage of Lynn Roethler and Laura Lawson are working s l a Dr, Bruce Nelson Mr, John McCormack the physical and biological sciences.
