1962 Crater Honors Two Faculty X ' MRS, DELPHIE COX ii ' Finding pleasure in the out-of-doors, Mrs. 'L,. . 4' Delphie Cox pursues her hobbies of gardening, Hvxgamping, and nature photography. Her love of ' Q'ia . nature has been a great asset in her chosen lsprotession as a biology teacher. During the weekends Mrs. Cox may be found camping in the mountains or working in her wild-flower garden. Whenever possible she also likes to read. She cares little for novels, but enioys biographies and science-fiction books very much. Cooking is a simple household duty, but Mrs. Cox likes to prepare special dishes. Coinciding with her culinary interests, she also collects olemitasse spoons. 22 WE HONOR Mrs. Delphie Cox for her dedicated service to the biology department Through her ever-increasing love of nature, she has made the study of biology a unique experience for all her pupils. Her quiet and patient manner has endeared her in the hearts of all who know her.

Of Our Office Staff Always helpful, Mrs. Lila West fulfills her position as secretary with more than average enthusiasm. She types and mimeographs the daily announcements and processes exams for the MHS fac- ulty. She also answers the phone, records student insurance, and handles the mail. The smiling face of Mrs. Jackie Simcox greets all people coming into the Student Affairs Office. As bookkeeper, Mrs. Simcox pays bills, writes checks, and keeps the books in order. One of her main duties is the recording of all absen- tees. She also has charge of the infirmary and helps the treasurers of various clubs balance their books. 2l
