She has given much help to make their tirst year at M.l-l.S. a happy one, To her they can take confusing schedules or prob- lems. Mrs. Evans also teaches typing classes. Senior girls receive valuable advice from their counselor Mrs. Naomi Van Dyke. Her afternoons are busy with the important task ot giving advice on sched- ules or class problems. She has to see that all senior girls tile a petition tor graduation, showing credits earned dur- ing high school. MRS. VAN DYKE yr 4 MRS. SMITH Mrs. Mary Anne Smith is responsible for scheduling the classes of all iunior girls. She gives out experienced advice on careers or any other problems the girls may bring her. She is always wil- ling to be ot any help possible. Mrs. Smith teaches American Problems to Seniors.

Of Our Office Staff Always helpful, Mrs. Lila West fulfills her position as secretary with more than average enthusiasm. She types and mimeographs the daily announcements and processes exams for the MHS fac- ulty. She also answers the phone, records student insurance, and handles the mail. The smiling face of Mrs. Jackie Simcox greets all people coming into the Student Affairs Office. As bookkeeper, Mrs. Simcox pays bills, writes checks, and keeps the books in order. One of her main duties is the recording of all absen- tees. She also has charge of the infirmary and helps the treasurers of various clubs balance their books. 2l
