Discipline Problems With Usual Skill A cheerful and pleasant personality characterizes Mrs. Grace Berg. Dean of Girls, Mrs. Berg is concerned with the activities of the girls at Medford Senior High. These activities range over a large area and include: advisor to Girls' League, attendance, girls' employment, home visits, conferences, registration, and processing of new students, and recommendations. A useful and one of the most impor- tant time-consuming duties of Mrs. Berg is the issuing of attendance slips. These slips are filled out by her for every girl when they return to school after being absent. As advisor to Girls' League, Mrs. Berg supervises the various activities of this organization. Such projects include, the winter formal, senior daughter-father banquet, and the Christmas Proiect. A large part of the work done by Mrs. Berg is connected with counseling. She holds conferences with students, teach- ers, parents, and community agencies in order to help the students with their problems. Although her duties are numerous, she accomplishes them with a gracious and cheerful attitude. Perhaps this is the reason Mrs. Berg is an outstanding figure at M.H.S. Always ready to greet you with a smile, Mrs. Berg is a busy Dean of Girls. Usually to be found in her bright, cheerful office, she is re- sponsible for records, attendance, and problems of all her girls.
