We know her as a biology feacher, buf as an under- graduafe prefmed sfudenf she seriously considered becoming a docfor. lvlrs. Gray has an exfraordinary feeling of kinship wifh living fhings, a sympafhy and under- sfanding for fhem. To her fhe velvefy black or dark green deep-sea fish, fierce and dragonlike fo ofhers, are beaufiful.
