The Boy's League is an organ- ization of all Medford Senior High School boys. lts purpose is to promote and help school activ- ities and give general service to the school. Any boy entering Medford WM SHANGLE' P 'id High becomes a member of this League and shares in its responsibilities. The officers for the T946-1947 year have been president, Verne Shangle, vice presi- dent, Lloyd Carr, secretary, Nick Greene, and treasurer, Bill Singler. Also a new officer, sergeant-at-arms, was created this year. Tom J Mottern was the incumbent. These officers under the guidance of advisers E. M. Kirtley and W. J. Bowerman, have led the boys in a very successful year. The Boy's League sponsored an original dance early in the year. It was called a Sock Hop and couples doffed their shoes to dance in their stocking LLOYD CAR R, Vito-Presideni feet. Tom Childers was in charge of the decorations of this dance which was held a day after the Eureka football game. The boys also entered a float in the annual Noise Par- ade. A large number of them have gone out for sports, and Medford showed up well in footall, basketball, track and base- ball. Members can be commended, too, for their behavior at A , A out-of-town games and for their sportsmanlike conduct toward their opponents. The Boys League has, like other of the school I organizations, shown fine spirit. NICK GREENE S IILL SINGLEI, Yrosuur Ml. E. M. KIRTLEY, Advisor
