Class officers are Alan Kircher, Darrell Riggs, Norma Stearns, Dick Eatherton and senior advisers Miss Jac Kirtley, Mrs. But- ler and Mr. Tucker deserve much credit for their outstanding leadership. Other seniors who held important posi- tions were Jim Cave, A.S.B. president, Lee johnson, vice-president, -Ioan Hoppe, secre- tary, Helen Robertson, treasurer, and Bill Todd, business manager, Glenn Bostwick, president of order of MU, Bob Watson, president of the Boys' League, Barbara Sands, president of the Girls' league, Bob Stevens, president of La Tertulia and Ski Club, and Norma Stearns, Torch H president. OUUI' janet Horsley and jerry Liebman were active members of the Debate Squad. lilaiue Hoffman was editor of the Crater. The Senior class was also well represented in athletics. Cn the famous Tornado team were Darrell Riggs, jim Cave, Lynn Bes- sonnette, Jerry Clark, Glenn Bostwick, and Alan Kircher. In basketball Jerry Ross Fred Stammen, Carl Reich, LeRoy House, Darrell Riggs, Bob NVatson, Glenn Bost- wick, Don Wlaldron, jim Cave. ani v l jerry Hunter tossed them in for Medford. Roy House, Bob XYatson, and jim Cave. At games and pep assemblies, janet Horsley, and Chuck Shinn led the student body in yelling. Among the awards given this year, Janet Horsley received the D.A.R. good citizenship award: Marian Tilley the l'.lfI.O. award. Jeraldyn Jerome was given the Girls' League award for outstanding senior girl. A group of students studied for the Pepsi-Cola Scholarship test under the direction of Mrs. liutler. These students were Alan Kircher, Bill Templin, Virgie Vanderpool, Bill Todd, lilaine Hoffman, Deah jean Rose, Janet Horsley, l.oree Montieth, jerry Liebman and Norma Stearns. During this year Nat liender was chosen as an alternate to VVest Point, and Alan Kircher was chosen principal to Annapolis. liarly in the year the seniors sponsored a dance. The clever decora- tions seemed to transform the gym into an art museum. ln April the senior presented the three-act comedy, Spring Green . This play, directed by Mrs. Herron, was full of amusing situations and clever dia- logue. The members of the cast were Phyllis VVendt, Roger Sterton, Al lioucher, Bill Rose, Marjorie Thompson, joan Hoppe, Loree Monteith, -Ieraldyn Jerome, liob Stevens, liud Nutting, Helen Robertson, Bob lYatson, LeRoy House, janet Horsley, and jim Cave.
