Nov. 9. New Coke replaced old Coke; then old Coke was reintroduced as Coke Classic; Cherry Coke made its debut. Reebok sold 13 million prs. of shoes; Levi's 501 's were in; stirrup pants and clam diggers were in; so was paisley and Mickey Mouse clothes. Disneyland celebrated its 30th anniversay. Fake pearls, robot toys, Teddy Ruxpin, Furskins, more Cabbage Patch versions were popular at Christmas. Taking calcium to prevent osteoporosis was in. Medford held a Wheat Fetival Aug. 24 and 25.
